GroGenesis Strengthens Management Team With CFO and Scientific Consultant Appointments

SPRINGVILLE, TN--GroGenesis, Inc., (OTCBB: GROG) ("GroGenesis" or the "Company"), rights holders and manufacturers of AgraBurst, an innovative liquid plant growth enhancement product, is very pleased to announce the appointments of Mr. Ron Evinou (CPA, CMA, P Log.), to the position of Chief Financial Officer and Dr. Steven T. Lund (Ph.D., P.M.P.) as Science Consultant.

Mr. Evinou comes from diverse business leadership background in agriculture, distribution and manufacturing, most recently as CFO, in the area of mergers and acquisitions for a highly successful John Deere dealer group and as a dealer member/advisor for three years to bi-annual meetings with Deere Ltd in USA. During this period, the business grew 300%. Mr. Evinou was responsible for all finance, banking, legal, insurance, HR and I.T relationships and leadership. Previously (1990 - 2002), he was CEO/CFO of GeoLogistics, a large freight forwarding company with 450 staff and annual revenues of approximately $800 million. Prior to this, he was CFO/GM of National Carpet where he managed vertical integration and growth and he began his career as Chief Accountant of the Reynolds Aluminum Building Materials Division. Mr. Evinou brings a well-balanced passion to his work. A "leader at building leaders" he mentors and coaches senior managers, dept. heads and emerging leaders.

Dr. Lund will be reporting directly to Dr. Helen Keenan, GroGenesis Senior Scientific Consultant, and is a research scientist and project leader with over 20 years of experience in horticulture, plant analytical chemistry, and microbiology, as well as over 10 years of experience in project management. He is President of Herb Assure Consulting Corporation, which provides quality assurance services for the natural health products industry. Between 2002 and 2012 he was Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia, where he led research programs in viticulture genomics and small fruit biochemistry. From 1998 to 2002 he was Senior Scientist and Project Leader at Genesis Research and Development Corp. Ltd. in Auckland, New Zealand, where he led a team that established a new in-house technology in support of an industrial joint venture to enhance gene discovery efforts aimed at wood quality improvements. Prior to this he was a Post-doctoral Research Associate at the University of Florida (Gainesville, FL) where he conducted research into hormonal control of plant diseases. Dr. Lund received his Ph.D. in Plant Biological Sciences (1995) and an M.S. in Forest Resources (1990) at the University of Minnesota, St. Paul, MN, and a B.S. in Forestry (1988) at Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI. He is also a Project Management Professional (P.M.P.) as certified by the PMI (2013) and a member of the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society and the Project Management Institute.
