GroGenesis Makes its Mark at Major Trade Event and Appoints Veteran Agri-Business Exec as COO

February 25, 2014
Springville, TN– (MARKETWIRED – February 25, 2014) – GroGenesis, Inc., (OTCBB: GROG) (“GroGenesis” or the “Company”), rights holders and manufacturers of AgraBurst, an innovative liquid plant growth enhancement product, wishes to advise of recent commercial and corporate activities.

From February 12 – 15th the GroGenesis team activated brand positioning and commercial sales as exhibitors at the influential 2014 National Farm Machinery Show (NFMS) in Louisville, Kentucky ( Much more than a trade show solely about machinery, the event is a major agricultural showcase offering eight interconnected exhibit halls totaling more than 1.2 million square feet of indoor exhibit space and containing more than 850 agricultural displays. Last year’s event drew a total attendance of over 312,000 visitors and the organizers have stated publicly that the 2014 show was “their best ever.” Company management felt this event would be an excellent venue to present AgraBurst, the flagship product manufactured by GroGenesis.

The resulting response was excellent and a major step forward for GroGenesis. An extraordinary number of leads were generated, sales targets were met, and contacts made with potential distributors from as far afield as Asia, Australia and the United Kingdom. Shortly after the event, key members of the Management team began a sales trip to Southeast Asia and mainland China for a series of meetings with potential customers and distributors that represents the fruition of several months of groundwork and relationship building.

Company CEO, Joe Fewer states, “The NFMS show is a very big event in the agri-business calendar. We are really pleased by the outcome, and are also looking forward to propelling the momentum we have started in Kentucky by addressing the growing interest for AgraBurst in Asia. So far, 2014 is rolling out as planned and we are on track with our initial strategic aims. This is going to be a very busy year for us, and we’re extremely pleased by the opportunities ahead.”

In related news, the Company is pleased to confirm the appointment and welcome Mr. Alan Hughes as Chief Operating Officer and Director of the Company. Mr. Hughes brings extensive agri-business experience from his formative years on the family farm in Illinois to an over 36 year-long career with John Deere. His tenure with Deere included management of sales territories, product training, wholesale finance and dealer development improvement processes. He contributed significantly to Deere’s success in unifying the dealer organization during the challenges of the tenuous agricultural climate of the 80’s and early 90’s. His efforts to bring quality programs to the dealer channel ensured many career-long relations with business professionals outside Deere. He retired as Division Manager of Dealer Development, focused on dealer channel M&A for North America. Widely recognized as an expert in his field, in 2009 he launched the consultancy, Clear Processes, LLC which focuses on business consolidations, operational performance and strategic business planning. Mr. Hughes graduated from Southern Illinois University with dual degrees in Agricultural Economics and Finance, and has earned numerous education credits including those from the UMKC School of Law.
